NPR Story on Iraqi Refugees
We previously (here) have posted on the incrteae in Iraqi refugees seeking admission into the United States. The NPR show Tell Me More (here) has teh latest on the subject. The U.S. State Department recently decided to admit 7,000 Iraqi refugees for asylum in 2007. But critics say America should do more to offer a place of refuge for those displaced as a consequence of the U.S.-led war. Georgetown University migration expert Andrew Schoenholtz and Iraqi-American Imam Husham al-Husainy discuss the issue.
