Push for Immigration Reform Spurs Numbers USA to Grow in Numbers

The N.Y. Times (here) has an interesting article about the rapid growth of Numbers USA, a restrictionist group headed by Roy Beck, author of The Case Against Immigration.   According to the story, “Numbers USA had fewer than 50,000 members at the end of 2004, but now counts more than 447,000, with an increase of 83 percent since January alone. ”  Beck does a good job at organizing a diverse group of opponents of immigration and fashioning a common (and sanitized) restrictionist message.
