Trial against Agriprocessors Employer Begins

The defendant is Sholom Rubashkin who was a top manager and part of the family ownership at the meatpacking plant in Postville, Iowa, that was one of the largest kosher slaughterhouses in the country, until it was raided by ICE in May 2008. Mr. Rubashkin is accused of being closely involved in efforts to employ illegal workers at the plant, in addition to the fraud-related charges. For the full story, click here.
