Asylum Access Founder Honored
Emily Arnold-Fernandez founded Asylum Access, a San Francisco-based nonprofit that has enlisted volunteer lawyers and helped more than 7,000 refugees in Asia, Africa and Latin America in the five years of its existence. For her work, she, is the recipient of the 2011 Jack Berman Award of Achievement for Distinguished Service to the Profession and the Public presented by the California Young Lawyers Association.
