Sacrifice for Immigrant Families–November 12

From the NY Immigration Coalition:

Are you ready to sacrifice for immigrant families?

The month of October saw hundreds of major mobilizations and actions across the country – including a 5,000 person march on October 5th over the Brooklyn Bridge – the largest such action in the country – followed by the “Varick10’s” stunning civil disobedience action at the Varick Street Detention Center, in which 10 people – the #Varick10 – were arrested to highlight the continuing plight of immigrants.

Our movement is ready to continue to raise the heat in the month of November.  On November 12th, New Yorkers for Real Immigration Reform is organizing a 3-day fast and an 11-mile pilgrimage, from St. Patrick’s Cathedral to Congressman Michael Grimm’s office, to send a clear message: we want immigration reform with a path to citizenship and we want it NOW.

Will you stand up for immigrant families?  Join dozens of other activists participate in the 3-day fast from November 12th-15th, or the 11-mile pilgrimage on November 12th.
