Monarch Butterflies & Immigration Protest Art
Signs like these are popping up around Chicago’s Back of the Yards neighborhood:
The butterfly/raised fist design is the brainchild of Luis Rafeal, a 22-year-old Chicago DREAMer. Rafeal told Chicago’s PBS station that “The monarch butterfly is one of the greatest symbols that’s been used in the immigration movement for generations.”
If you’re interested in some monarch butterfly art of your own, check out this pin or this poster – both perfect for the office!
