Kamala Harris spars with Fox News Bret Baier over immigration, Trump Appears at Univision Town Hall

As expected, Democratic presidential nominee Kamala Harris was grilled on immigration in an interview with Fox News this week.  Here is a summary.  

Harris sat down for an interview with Fox News, as her campaign attempts to attract voters as the campaign nears an end.  The interviewer, Bret Baier, challenged her track record on immigration.  His first question was telling: “How many illegal immigrants would you estimate your administration has released into the country over the last three and a half years?”

Harris pointed out that irregular immigration across the US-Mexico border was a concern long before she was elected vice president in 2021 — including under President Trump.

Former President Trump appeared at a Univision town hall this week and repeated his claims on immigration.  As Nikki McCann Ramirez for Rolling Stone put it, “Undecided Latino voters who participated in Donald Trump’s Univision town hall on Wednesday were left deeply unimpressed by the former president.”
