Join Us in DC on March 21!
From Southeast Asian Resource Action Center:
Dear Allies,
As you may already know, there is a national march in support of immigration reform scheduled for March 21st in Washington, DC. We are expecting about 100,000 community members and advocates from all across the nation to join this march in DC to pressure the administration and Congress to enact immigration reform this year.
I’m reaching out to invite all of you to take part in this massive mobilization in DC. Some of you may already be planning on attending, and if you are, please let me know so that we can coordinate a gathering of Southeast Asian advocates to march together. If you currently do not have plans to take part in the march but would like to, while we don’t currently have travel funds for groups that are out of the DC metro area, however, we encourage interested groups and individuals to engage with your local Reform Immigration for America (RI4A) campaign to coordinate bus rides to DC.
There will be an Asian American gathering/rally prior to the large 100,000 person march. Visit www.wemarchforamerica.org to see a listing of buses or to register to ride a bus to DC.
In addition, for those of you who already know you are coming for the march, if you are interested in doing congressional visits the days after the march and need assistance setting these up, please let me know!
I hope to see many of you out here for the March for America on March 21st. Please feel free to contact me with questions!
