The University of San Francisco School of Law’s Law Review Volume 59 invites submissions for its upcoming symposium titled “Navigating Boundaries: Legal Perspectives on Migration,” scheduled for January 31, 2025.
Symposium Focus
This symposium aims to explore the evolving landscape of migration law. We encourage submissions that analyze emerging legal challenges, propose innovative solutions, or offer critical perspectives on these topics.
Submission Guidelines
Authors are invited to submit works in progress or complete articles that delve into various aspects of migration law. Submissions should adhere to academic rigor, utilizing clear and concise prose. While preferred topics include issues concerning US migration policy or enforcement, as well as broader global migration challenges such as statelessness, we welcome submissions that broaden our understanding of migration law globally.
Submission Details
- Format: Articles should be written in a neutral, third-person voice, and citations should follow Bluebook style using endnotes.
- Length: While there is no strict word limit, articles should be comprehensive yet succinct.
- Bio: Please include a brief author biography.
- Contact Information: Provide your phone number and email address.
- Summary: Include a concise summary (2-3 sentences) outlining the main focus of your article.

The symposium is organized under the guidance of Bill Ong Hing, Professor and Founding Director of the Immigration and Deportation Defense Clinic, and Lindsay M. Harris, Professor and Director of the International Human Rights Clinic at the University of San Francisco School of Law.
