USCIS and Immigration Policy

The Immigrant Legal Resource Center in San Francisco will be presenting a special seminar on immigration policy, featuring Michael Biggs, Director of Policy for the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services. He will discuss a broad range of topics, form prosecutorial discretion to issues of affecting children and foreign students.  Prosecutorial discretion will be the primary focus, especially in the context of naturalization, asylum, NACARA, and adjustment of status, as well as CIS guidelines with respect to honoring attorney requests to place clients in proceedings.

As USCIS Director of Policy, Mr. Biggs provides direction and leadership in initiating, developing and implementing policies designed to improve immigration programs in the United States.
