On the 10th Anniversary of the Worst Immigration Laws in United States History April 24th marks the 10th anniversary of AEDPA (the 1996 Anti-terrorism & Effective Death Penalty Act)- a sweeping anti-immigrant law passed one year after Gulf War veteran Timothy McVeigh bombed the Oklahoma City Federal Building. After September 11th, the government stepped up deportations. In the last 10 years, 1.4 million people have been deported and thousands of children have lost a parent. Organizations around the country are organizing a mass action on the anniversary. Join us on April 24th to commemorate our struggle and demand our rights!
