Undocumented Students Prevail in Cornhusker Country

This legislation (see Download FINAL_LB239_1.pdf) was passed by the Nebraska legislature yesterday. In a remarkable turn of events, it was passed by 26-19, and the Governor vetoed it. Then, his veto was overridden by 30-15. Nebraska is the 10th state to pass this provision to give their undocumented students the means to become in-state residents for public college tuition.
