Bush Stand Divides his Base

Is President Bush in trouble with his conservative base? According to NPR:

“President Bush is in trouble with his best supporters, the conservatives who are his base. They are unhappy about the growth of spending, debt and government under his administration.

But they are most distressed by the White House stand on illegal immigration, which attempts to balance rule-of-law Americanism with an eager outreach to the nation’s fastest growing bloc of voters: Hispanics.”
