Washington State Republicans Oppose Citizenship Birthright

TheWashington state Republican Party has adopted a resolution calling for an endto the Constitution’s guarantee of automatic citizenship to the U.S.-bornchildren of undocumented immigrants (as interpreted since U.S. v. Wong KimArk).

Delegatesat the state Republican Party’s convention  supporting that platform said their concerns included the cost topublic hospitals and the expense of welfare for the children of indigent ordeported illegal immigrants. Click here.
