Bush Addresses Chamber of Commerce on Immigration Reform

Ina speech to the U.S. Chamber of Commerce today, President Bush urged passage ofcomprehensive immigration reform. In his speech, Bush rejected arguments fromsome conservative Republicans that the guest worker provision amounts toamnesty for millions of undocumented immigrants.

Hisremarks appeared aimed specifically at Wisconsin Republican Rep. JamesSensenbrenner, architect of the House bill, who called the Senate version agrant of amnesty because it would give many undocumented immigrants a chanceeventually to become citizens. Click  here.
