Attorney General Speaks in Silicon Valley
Attorney General Alberto Gonzales used his appearance at the Commonwealth Clubin Santa Clara, Calif., to talk up the Bush administration’s reformproposals, which have been divisive even inside the Republican Partyand have drawn bitter criticism from social conservatives who wouldprefer to focus on border security.
Kicking an estimated 12 million undocumented immigrants outof the country is not something that can be “realistically” done,Gonzales said.
