Immigration Shakeup Expected in UK

Home Secretary John Reid is to announce plans for Britain’s first uniformed border-control force at airports and ports.

Themove is part of a massive shake-up of the Immigration and NationalityDirectorate, which will see its budget double by theend of the decade as part of an effort to get a grip on the problem of undocumented immigration.
