More Critique of Immigration Judges
A review by McClatchy Newspapers found that appeals courts have sentback dozens of rulings by immigration judges in the past two years. Inone recent rebuke, an appeals-court panel deemed an asylum decision”incomprehensible.”
The appeals courts also singled out judges for what they’ve calledrude and bullying behavior. One appeals-court panel reversed a decisionbecause, it said, the judge acted like a “prosecutor anxious to pickholes” in immigrants’ stories instead of as an impartial jurist. Click here.
