Call for Manuscripts on Latino Immigration

The Latino(a) Research Review (LRR) invites the submission of manuscripts for a forthcoming special issue on “Latino Immigration.” Articles dealing with research in the following areas are particularly welcomed:

* Current debates over immigration policy

* The economic benefits of Latino immigration

* Population growth and changing patterns of immigration flows

* Geographic dispersion of Latino groups

* Undocumented workers

* Remittances and other aspects of the transnational circuit

* Issues of adaptation and assimilation

* Public discourse on Latino immigration or the representation of Latino immigrants * Immigration-related social movements

* Gender and racial issues

* Anti-immigration groups Articles should not exceed 30 typed, double-spaced pages. LRR is a refereed journal published by the Center for Latino, Latin American, and Caribbean Studies (CELAC) at the University at Albany, SUNY. For this special issue, authors will be notified about publication decisions no longer than eight weeks after manuscript submission. Although LRR reviews manuscript submissions at all times, articles for this special issue will be reviewed until Novemebr 1, 2006.
