Mass migration in aglobalised world is the “greatest challenge facing Europeangovernments”, Home Secretary John Reid will say in a high-profilespeech next week.

In an address to thinktank Demos on Wednesday, Mr Reid will say thatthe mass movement of people provides the potential for greater wealthand opportunity.

But he will warn that it also brings insecurity into the heart ofcommunities which had been used to the relatively settled internationalpicture of the Cold War years. Click here.
