Forced Assimilation?

In Chicago, the Mexican American Legal Defense & Educational Fund (MALDEF) on behalf of Latino parents and students, ended the practice of a middle school principal who required Latino students to sign a contract that threatened them with suspension if they spoke Spanish and treated speaking Spanish in school as “bullying.”  Click here for a news video clip.
