Proposed Arizona law would make armed vigilantes felons
Arizona State Representative Kyrsten Sinema, D-Phoenix, has introduced a bill in the Arizona House that will make border vigilantism while armed a felony punishable by up to 18 months in prison. Rep. Sinema said that her proposed law, HB 2286, is specifically aimed at the Minuteman organization “and other vigilante groups” that patrol the US/Mexico border while armed. Rep. Sinema has a law degree from Arizona State University.
