How to assess an immigration proposal

Dan Froomkin, Deputy Editor of the Nieman Watchdog Project (here), has a nice checklist on “How to assess an immigration proposal.”  It is a list of “some questions reporters – and the public – can use to assess how likely any immigration proposal is to achieve its stated goals.”

This list is especially appropriate as everyone scurries to evaluate the Senate immigration reform proposal.
