GOP Ties and Immigration Judgeships

We blogged (here) previously on the reliance on partisanship in the selection of immigration judges by the Bush administration, something that came up in the hearings about Attorney General Gonzales’s role in the firing of the U.S. Attorneys.  The Washington Post (here) today has a detailed story on the role of GOP ties in IJ selection.

On a related note, attached is a complain alleging discrimination by a Latina who was denied am IJ position.  Download gonzalez_92006.pdf
