Citizenship Day This Saturday in Orange County
Thanks to Ana Maria Patino for information on an upcoming citizenship day workshop this coming Saturday, July 21, in Orange County, California:
“Citizenship Day” is being held this Saturday, July 21, 2007 from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Santa Ana College in Orange County. The address is 1530 W. 17th St. in Santa Ana, California. It is on the corner of 17th Street and Bristol.
This event is sponsored by several local Democratic legislators including Congresswoman Loretta Sanchez, California State Senator Lou Correa and Assemblyman Jose Solorio. Other sponsors are Santa Ana College and Santiago Canyon College, Rancho Santiago Community College District, the City of Santa Ana, NALEO, O.C. United Way.
We need volunteers! Anyone who would like to volunteer should contact Diane Hurtado at (714) 878-0588 or e-mail her at hurtadodianne@yahoo.com and/or Teresa Mercado-Cota at (714) 480-7505 or e-mail her at mercado_cota_teresa@rsccd.org. Volunteers will have to take a free workshop in order to train them to assist our expected applicants fill out their applications for naturalization. The workshops will be held Friday and Saturday morning.
