On the “Widow Penalty”

Citizen Orange has an interesting post on the Taing decision from the District of Massachusetts. It is the latest in a string of rulings against the “widow penalty,” which affects surviving spouses of deceased U.S. citizens whose green card applications have not yet been adjudicated at the time of death.

The “widow penalty” is the target of a class action filed last August.
