Terrorism Is An Excuse

“An FBI graph illustrates that the number of terrorist incidents in the US (1980-2005) is on the decline. The FBI also publishes a an official list providing a chronological summary of terrorist incidents in the US (1980-2005). As you can see from this list, the overwhelming number of terrorist activities since 2001 have been limited to primarily arson, vandalism, and destruction of property, resulting in no fatalities or injuries. Most of the terrorist events identified by FBI over the last five years were perpetrated by the Earth Liberation Front and the Animal Liberation Front. These mundane official FBI data are a far cry from the visions of horrors committed by Al-Qa’ida. FBI name checks have been cited as an effective deterrant against future terrorist activity; hence, the protracted delays in FBI name checks have been proclaimed necessary. This list proves otherwise. The FBI name check delays that have prevented many immigrants from receiving their green cards is unnecessary and we urge Congress to step in and take ameliorative action.”  (emphasis added).
