Jesus Questions U.S. Deportation Policies

This picture is care of the Fair Immigration Movement Reform Blog blog.  The picture is small but the t-shirt reads “Who Would Jesus Deport?” Seriously, there has been an increase in legal scholarship scrutinizing religious approaches to immigration law and policy.  This includes a colloquium published in the summer 2006 issue of the University of Detroit Mercy Law Review; the papers in the colloquium, which originally were presented at Fordham University School of Law, responded to the keynote address by Michael Scaperlanda (Oklahoma), Immigration and Evil: The Religious Challenge, 83 U. Det. Mercy L. Rev. 835 (2006).
