A Strange Journey for a Rock Star

Arnelinpi010828229 Immigration Daily tells the fun story of Arnel Pineda, a native of the Philippines with a rock band that did covers of bands such as Journey, who told U.S. consular officers that he was trying out as the lead singer for that resurgent (after The Sopranos series finale anyway) rock band Journey.  To help prove his point, Pineda reportedly sang “Wheel in the Sky” (for the 1970s Journey version, click here) in the U.S. Visa Section in Manila.  Although he met some skeptics, Pineda is now Journey’s new lead singer.
