USCIS Liaison Meetings with CBOs

The USCIS holds national and regional meetings with community based organizations from time to time to promote positive community relations. Here’s one recent announcement regarding a national meeting:

Good morning.  I would like to direct your attention to the Community Relations page on the USCIS website. Our Headquarters (HQ )team has been handling the national stakeholders meeting for some time now and minutes of these meetings are available on our web page.  Some of you attend the local (San Francisco and San Jose) quarterly CBO meetings.  The national stakeholders meeting is basically similar to our local meetings: the HQ team addresses the concerns of national CBO organizations. To review the minutes, please click on the link below:

The National Stakeholder March CBO Q&As are now posted on the Community Relations webpage at www.uscis.gov/communityrelations.

The March 25, 2008 meeting deals primarily with I-485 issues, but also contains further information on the new I-131 requirements for biometrics and the Diversity Visa. The next meeting will take place on April 29, and minutes will be posted following the meeting.
