S Ct declines to Intervene in Border Fence Challenge
Bloomberg.com reports that the U.S. Supreme Court refused to question a law that lets the U.S. Department of Homeland Security circumvent environmental restrictions and other laws in order to build the border fence along part of the U.S./Mexican border. The justices refused to hear an appeal by the Defenders of Wildlife and the Sierra Club, which challenged a 2-mile stretch of fence in a conservation area in Arizona.
