For Mexican Deportees, This is The End
AP has a great story on the human stories of Mexican deportees returning through Tijuana. It starts with some great imagery reminiscent of the erry Doors song The End that amplified the surreal nature of thw Vietnam war in the film Apocalypse Now and The Doors. Upon heading across the border into Mexico,
“The towering black gate opens silently to an alley with walls of corrugated metal. Scrawled in large white letters on one wall is: `The End.'”
