Backpay Victory for Immigrant Workers in NYC

Congratulations to Asian American Legal Defense and Education Fund for this victory! A federal court in NY has awarded $4.6 million in back wages and damages to 36 Chinese immigrant delivery workers at two Saigon Grill restaurants in Manhattan. The workers were paid less than $2 an hour and were required to work 11 to 13 hours a day, usually six days a week.
