Senator Kennedy Steps Down from Judiciary Committee

AP reports that Senator Ted Kennedy has declared that “he is stepping down from his Senate Judiciary Committee post to focus on achieving a breakthrough on health care reform….”  A staunch supporter of immigration reform, Senator Kennedy also has been a champion of civil rights and a vigilant participant in the selection of federal judges, including Supreme Court Justices.
