March to Stop Arpaio

Over 2000 people came out to march on February 28th to stop Arpaio’s human rights violations and racist violence. Various organizations from Tucson, including Border Action Network, and groups from other states joined local groups at Steele Indian School Park and marched more than 4 miles through downtown Phoenix. It was incredibly motivating to be amongst the many who marched on Central Avenue that day asking for change and demanding justice. The event received overwhelming support and received national media attention, including “Cazador de Indocumentados ”, an excellent three part series on Telemundo by Pedro Cevcec, one of the most influential Hispanic reporters.
