Appleseed has released Assembly Line Injustice: Blueprint to Reform America’s Immigration Court System (June 2009), a comprehensive assessment of the immigration court system that identifies problems at all stages of the adjudicatory process and presents a slate of practical solutions to ensure fairness and impartiality. Among other things, the report, based on interviews and observations of court hearings, concluded that immigration judge and trial attorney professionalism needs to be improved.
