The Public Policy Institute of California has issued a new report, New Patterns of Immigrant Settlement in California. Although California is still home to more immigrants than any other state, its popularity as an immigrant destination has waned steadily since 1990. Within the state, immigrant population growth in counties such as Riverside and Kern has soared past Los Angeles County’s.
