Should There Be an Article I Immigration Court?

2009 Time TBA Registration Forthcoming at http://www.abanet.org/adminlaw/

There is wide consensus that the immigration administrative adjudication system is facing serious challenges. There is less unity, however, in deciding how to address those challenges. One possible fix is the creation of an Article I Immigration Court. This panel will address this possibility from both legal and policy perspectives. Panelists:

Mary Giovagnoli, Director, Immigration Policy Center, American Immigration Law Foundation

Stephen H. Legomsky, John S. Lehmann University Professor, Washington University in St. Louis School of Law

Jeffrey Lubbers, Professor of Practice in Law & Government, American University Washington College of Law

The Honorable Dana Leigh Marks, President, National Association of Immigration Judges

Moderator: Jill Family, Associate Professor of Law, Widener University School of Law
