NY Senator Serrano Report: Immigration Reform Starts Here

The office of New York state Senator José M. Serrano released a report today with recommendations to protect immigrant New Yorkers and their families. The Senator is urging the New York State Division of Criminal Justice Services to not sign a Memorandum of Understanding with ICE to allow Secure Communities (planned “deployment” here in 2010) — at least not without full public consultation and review.
