Deportation for Schoolyard Fight, Playing Loud Music, Being Mexican
Anna Gorman of the L.A. Times writes of the removal proceedings that face to Mexican teens, who have lived in the U.S. for ten years, who were in a schoolyard fight. It is one of a number of instances that, due to local police officers acting pursuant to so-called 287(g) agreements with the federal government, immigrants charged with minor crimes are facing removal.
