New 287(g) Agreements signed

Department of Homeland Security officials signed new agreements authorizing nearly 70 state and local law enforcement agencies to enforce immigration laws against persons charged with crimes. Arizona sheriff Joe Arpaio will continue to work with federal authorities when undocumented immigrants are booked into his jail. While the new agreement does not authorize Arpaio to conduct raids, Arpaio continues to conduct immigration sweeps. For the full story, click here.
