A Silver Lining to the Caseload Crisis in the Immigration Courts?

Following up on the N.Y. City Bar report released yesterday recommending that immigrant detainees be provided with counsel, OTHERWISE reports that the U.S. Department of Justice now supports providing free legal assistance to noncitizens facing deportation.  The caseload crisis in the immigration courts has put pressures for such representation, with reducing the backlog difficult with many unrepresented noncitizens.
