A Separate Immigration Bill in the Works?

Sen. Charles Schumer (D-N.Y.) is likely to introduce a bipartisan immigration reform bill with  Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.)  The package could be released as soon as January and taken up in the Judiciary Committee soon thereafter. This bill is probably stricter on immigration enforcement than the Gutierrez bill and less generous on immigration reform but it is predicted to have a greater chance of being passed into law.  For the full story, click here.
