US Representative Predicts Immigration Reform in 2011

U.S. Rep. Henry Cuellar, a member of the Congressional Hispanic Caucus, predicts it unlikely that Congress will consider comprehensive immigration reform  in 2010. Cuellar, who supports the reform, says that finishing the health care and jobs bills and then the elections will be too much for Congress to also consider the immigration bill.  This prediction is disappointing but not surprising. Immigrant supporters will need to mobilize to push for action. The promise of reform has been a promise for too long.
