Annual NILC Dinner Honors Josefina López

I am excited to announce that the National Immigration Law Center will honor award-winning screenwriter and author Josefina López on October 21 at our 4th Annual Awards Dinner to be held in Los Angeles. Best known for her film Real Women Have Curves, Josefina has written numerous plays and movies that entertain and educate audiences about issues of importance to immigrants. Her newest play, Detained in the Desert, explores the real-life ramifications of SB 1070, Arizona’s racial profiling law.
