ASU Law Journal fo Social Justice first edition now available on line
It is with great pride that I share with you a link to the new online Journal for Social Justice at ASU. It is a labor of passion, commitment, and creativity. As Chief Editors Melissa R. Dempsey & Joaquin Rios, (ASU J.D. Candidates 2011) explain in their foreword,
“”Two years ago, a group of law students at the Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law at Arizona State University had an idea. Coming from a diverse set of backgrounds, these students had little in common. However, these students were united in their desire to bring new perspectives to the academic conversation at their school. They believed that providing a forum to a wider spectrum of voices could only serve to enrich the law school experience. These students sought to improve both their own educational experience and the experience of a new generation of law students. With the generosity, patience, and wisdom of both the Law School and the Arizona legal community, these efforts have come to fruition. The Law Journal for Social Justice (“LJSJ“) is pleased to present this inaugural edition, which includes articles from leading scholars and practitioners addressing social justice issues.”
The inaugural edition includes articles by Kevin R. Johnson and Mary Romero, as well as several faculty at the Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law. The issue focuses on Immigration, SB1070, Criminal Justice and race relations. Take a look. EQ Law Journal for Social Justice (“LJSJ“)
