New report from DHS: U.S. Legal Permanent Residents: 2011

This report provides information on the number and characteristics of persons who became legal permanent residents during fiscal year 2011.

More than one million persons became lawful permanent residents of the United States in 2011. Nearly 65 percent  of new LPRs were granted permanent resident status based on a family relationship with a citizen or legal permanent resident.
