On August 2nd, the USC Program for Environmental and Regional Equity (PERE) will present to the Sustainable Communities Initiative’s (SCI) governmental grantees on immigrant integration and sustainable planning. We are extending a special invitation to our closest partners and hope you join us. Immigrant integration is a dynamic, two-way process in which immigrant newcomers and host communities adapt to one another and strengthen local neighborhoods. Integration strategies can help local governments enhance immigrants’ economic opportunities and civic participation, and increase receiving regions’ openness to newcomers in order to create sustainable and equitable societies. Join us if you are interested in strengthening immigrant integration efforts, building sustainable communities, and hearing some best practices in the field. Whether you are considering, or are already developing local immigrant integration policies, join this webinar to learn the essential “how to” steps for your region’s efforts. Hear from experts on immigrant integration policies and from officials who have developed, implemented, and maintained integration programs in their localities.
