Close to Half Million DACA Applications Filed as of March 31

USCIS has released data on the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program as of March 31. A total of 472,004 applications have been accepted for processing, while 16,778 have been returned for more information. Thus, and total of 488,782 DACA applications were submitted since the program was initiated. Of those accepted for processing, 268,361 have been approved, while 1,377 were denied.

The states with the largest number of applications accepted for processing were California (134,167), Texas (76,438), New York (26,365), Illinois (24,928), Florida (20,764), North Carolina (17,006), and Arizona (16,653). The top nationalities of applicants were Mexico (354,002), El Salvador (18,949), Honduras (12,603), Guatemala (11,817), and South Korea (7,030).
