Please join us calling for immigration officials to release Reylla Denis Ferraz Da Silva  a nursing mother of a nine-month old American citizen who has lived in the US for the past 8 years and is on her path to becoming a pastor; but is currently detained and at risk of deportation.  We will hear from  Reylla’s attorney, family, friends, and Message of Peace church family.  It is important that we act quickly as the baby is losing weight.

Act now to send a message immediately to ICE, calling for Reylla’s release while she fights her case.  You can do that in less than a minute by clicking here.

ICE recently detained Reylla,a newlywed breast-feeding mother of a nine-month old infant with serious medical complications. She is being held at West County Detention Facility.

Since her imprisonment, she has had no contact with her baby, Enzo Gabriel, who has lost one pound because he has not been nursed and is not eating since his mother has been jailed by immigration authorities. Reylla poses no risk to national security or public safety.

The case underscores a cosmic disparity between the Obama administration’s immigration rhetoric and the reality of Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE)’s cruel deportation policies, which target contributing community members who aspire to be citizens, but who have past deportation orders due to the nation’s lack of a common-sense immigration process. Moreover, ICE’s separation of a breast-feeding mother from her sickly infant appears to violate the agency’s own regulations.

Unfortunately, these are just guidelines.  We need your help to pressure ICE to follow its own guidelines and release Reylla to be re-united immediately with her nursing and sick child while she fights her case.
